Wow! My first visit and had the taster menu and I could not fault it.
I used to live in Milan but the risotto at Strada was the best I had ever had. The pork was delicious and I loved the tapanede.
We were very full but managed to eat the yummy deserts.
The service was excellent Amanda our waitress could not have been more professional and efficient explaining each dish.
My only suggestion would be to offer the fish off the bone.
However, we will definitely be back…..
Myself and three friends visited the Billericay branch last Wednesday to try out the new meniu.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the items on the menu, with the exception of the pasta with sausages and chilli, with grano padana, we thought that should have had more sauce to it.
Our favourites of the night were the hand stretched flat bread and the pumpkin risotto.
The Sea Bream is also delicious and the rocket underneath the fish was devine.
Desert wise the Affagato was my personal favourite, but my fellow diners preferred the set choclate custard.
In all a lovely meal, all washed down with a rose montepulliciano.
Go try the new menu, you won’t be disappointed
Me and my guests very much enjoyed the new dishes - my only criticism was with the Strozzapreti Pugliese which we found to be too dry - it needed more sauce!
Service great - they were very accommodating and friendly. We weren’t rushed. Restaurant empty when we arrived at 5pm, but packed by around 7pm. That flat bread was divine! The sea bream was also lovely - although very slightly overcooked, but so you’d barely notice. Risotto made a nice side dish - the 4 of us all shared that. Slightly sweet, but probably where it was being eaten alongside other dishes. Would probably complement scallops well. Too full for a whole dessert, but we did all try some of each dish offered. We all had different favourites, mine being the Bunet Piemontese.
Generally, the restaurant had a more upmarket feel than other similar chains and I would definitely visit again.
